Subclass 890: Business owner visa:

This visa is for people who own and manage a business in Australia. It allows you to stay in Australia indefinitely.

In order to qualify for an owner visa 890, One must have been living under one of the above-mentioned visas for at least 12 months in the 2 years immediately before lodging 890 visa application. The required one-year period doesn’t have to be continuous.

Must meet the following conditions:

• For at least two years before applying for the visa, own or manage a business in Australia.
• For a current visa, you or your partner (including your former partner) must have met the eligibility criteria when the visa was issued.

The State or Territory Sponsored Business Owner Visa (Subclass 892) is a permanent visa for people who own and manage a business in Australia. One can stay in Australia indefinitely. To apply as a primary applicant,one must have a qualifying visa granted on a particular basis.

The State or Territory Sponsored Business Owner Visa (Subclass 892) :

• Stay in Australia permanently
• Work and study in Australia
• Enrol in Australia’s public health care scheme, Medicare
• Sponsor your relatives to come to Australia
• Travel to and from Australia for 5 years
• When eligible, become an Australian citizen.

Subclass 457:Temporary Business Entry (Long Stay)

This visa is for employers who would like to employ overseas workers to fill nominated skilled positions in Australia. Employers can be:

• An Australian business
• An overseas business

With this visa one can employ overseas workers for a period of between one day and four years.With this visa those people who gets employed from overseas can:


• Work in Australia for a period of between one day and four years

• Bring any eligible secondary applicants with them to Australia – secondary applicants can work and study

• After entering Australia, there is no limit on the number of times they travel in and out of Australia.
