Subclass 600: Tourist / Visitor visa

 

There are 4 streams under this Visa:

 

1.Tourist stream (apply outside Australia):Lets you visit Australia as a tourist, to go on a cruise or to visit family and friends.Stay – 12 months.

 

2.Tourist stream (apply in Australia): Lets you visit Australia as a tourist, to visit family and friends or for purposes other than business or medical treatment. Stay – 12 months.

 

3.Business visitor stream:Lets you visit Australia for business reasons.Stay – 3 months.

 

4.Sponsored family stream: People who are sponsored, usually by a family member, come to Australia to see their family members.Stay – 12 months.

 

Subclass 462: Work and Holiday Visa:

 

There are 3  streams under this Visa:

 

1.First Work and Holiday visa: This visa lets people 18 to 30 years old (inclusive) have an extended holiday in Australia and work here to help fund their trip.Stay period is 12 months.

 

  1. Second Work and Holiday visa: This visa lets people 18 to 30 years old (inclusive) who currently hold or who have held a Work and Holiday visa, can have a second working holiday in Australia.Stay is 12 months.

 

3.Third Work and Holiday visa: This visa lets people 18 to 30 years old (inclusive) who currently hold or who have held a second Work and Holiday (subclass 462) visa, have a third working holiday in Australia.Stay is 12 months.

 

Bridging Visas:Subclass 010/020/030: Bridging visa A /B/C

This temporary visa generally allows you to stay in Australia after your current substantive visa ceases and while your new substantive visa application is being processed.

 

Subclass 494: Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) visa

This visa enables regional employers to address identified labour shortages within their region by sponsoring skilled workers where employers can’t source an appropriately skilled Australian worker.

 

Subclass 491: Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa

 

Visa for skilled people nominated by a state or territory government to live and work in regional Australia.

  • ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Stay in Australia for 5 years
  • Live, work and study in a designated regional area of Australia
  • Travel to and from Australia multiple times, while the visa is valid​
  • Apply for permanent residence after 3 years from the time visa is granted​

 

 

Subclass 482: Temporary Skill Shortage visa:

 

There are 2 streams under this visa:

Short-term stream:

  • This visa enables employers to address labour shortages by bringing in skilled workers where employers can’t source an appropriately skilled Australian worker.
  • The occupation is on the short-term skilled occupations list (STSOL)
  • Stay for upto 2 years or upto 4 years, if an International Trade Obligation (ITO) applies.

 

Medium-term stream:

  • This visa enables employers to address labour shortages by bringing in skilled workers where employers can’t source an appropriately skilled Australian worker.
  • The occupation is on either the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) or the Regional Occupation List (ROL)
  • Stay for upto 4 years.

 

Labour agreement stream:

  • This visa is for skilled workers nominated by employers who have a Labour Agreement.
  • Stay Up to a maximum of 4 years, depending on the terms in the labour agreement.
  • Employer has to have a labour agreement with the Australian government in effect.

 

​​​​​​​​​​Global Talent Employer Sponsored program​:

 

The Global Talent Employer Sponsored (GTES) program allows employers to sponsor overseas workers for highly-skilled niche positions that cannot be filled:

  • By Australian workers
  • Through other standard visa programs – In particular, the Short-term stream and Medium-term stream of the Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa.

 

There are 2 streams under GTES:

 

1.Established Business stream:

Lets employers who are accredited sponsors employ workers with cutting-edge skills to help innovate in an established business.

  1. Startup stream:

Lets employers sponsor workers with cutting-edge skills to contribute to Australia’s developing startup ecosystem. These workers will bring new ideas, new jobs, new skills and new technology into Australia.

 

This stream is for startups operating in a tech-based or STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) field.

 

Subsequent Entrant Visa:

 

  • A subsequent entrant visa allows you to live, study and work in Australia with your family members who are already immigrating.
  • A subsequent entrant visa has specific processing times that could differ on primary applicants.
  • Subsequent entrant visa allows the main primary applicant to add their parents or another family to their application.
  • There are some subsequent entrant visas for students and workers that want to study and live in Australia.
